Annual General Meetings

Each year we hold our church Annual General Meeting in April. This is an opportunity to review the past year, look at plans for future years, and to ask questions and make suggestions. Everyone is welcome to attend the AGM, but to vote or stand for election you need to be a registered church member.

Reports: In advance of the meeting the trustees circulate the annual report, which is part of our legal duties as a registered charity and company. We also circulate the budget for the coming year.  At the meeting the trustees and leaders report on various areas of church life, and the Senior Minister puts forward the plans for the coming year.

Elections: It is also the time for electing new trustees and leaders. Since 2020 we have voted in advance of the AGM, using online voting. Proxy voting is available.

Membership: We encourage everyone aged 16 or over, who shares our beliefs and has been part of our church for six months or more to become a registered member. You can apply at any time during the year, but there is a closing date several weeks before the AGM.

AGM Papers: You can download the most recent AGM minutes and Annual Report here. (The minutes are decribed as draft until accepted by the next AGM.)

General Meetings: Between the AGMs, each autumn we hold a General Meeting, which provides a mid-year opportunity to review and discuss plans. Everyone is welcome to attend. Here you can download the minutes of the last General Meeting.
