Dalesdown: 6-8 May 2022
The Immanuel Church Weekend is back! It’s an opportunity to spend time together as a church family, away from the usual routine – worshipping together, learning together and having fun together! All in the relaxed atmosphere of Dalesdown, with its 8 acres of grounds, in the Sussex countryside near Horsham.

You can join in for the whole weekend, or just part of it. You can stay over for one or two nights, or come as a day visitor for Saturday or Sunday – or both days. If you want to stay overnight, you can choose to stay in a room, or camp on site.
Dalesdown has a number of rooms of various sizes, each with single beds. Some are family rooms with bunk beds, others are small dormitories. We will arrange some rooms for single people to share as same sex rooms. We will try our best to meet everyone’s requirements.
If you are in a room, all your meals will be provided from Saturday breakfast to Sunday lunch. (So if you’re arriving on Friday evening, please bring your own evening meal – cooking facilities will be available.)
Camping: bring your own tents and caravans. There is space for camping in the grounds near to the building, which makes it easy to use the showers and toilets in the building. (We will provide breakfasts and lunches on Saturday and Sunday, and a BBQ on Saturday evening, but you need to bring your own food for Friday evening – cooking facilities available.)
The programme: This year, Paul Collins will be teaching for two sessions on Saturday, and leading the family communion service on Sunday morning. The children and young people will have their activities in the spacious Sports Centre, and playing fields. We will have our traditional Saturday night BBQ as usual! And there will be plenty of time and space in between to chill out or be active or just chat. The weekend will finish after Sunday lunch together.
It takes a whole team of people to run this weekend – can you help? We will be asking for volunteers to help with various parts of it, such as the Youth and Children’s programme, and mealtimes. And everyone can bring cake for morning coffee break!
How much does it cost? We’ve tried to keep the costs down to near 2019 levels. No charge for pre-school age children. You can pay by instalments. We can help out if the cost is going to be an obstacle to you coming.
NOTE: If you are camping, we will charge each person as a Day Visitor for each day.
How to book a place? We ask for a deposit – £10 for an adult and £5 for a child. Or pay in full if you like!
